How the calculation works
The four scale readings are added for total vehicle weight. Front, rear, left, and right percentages divide the appropriate pair of corners by that total. Cross weight uses right-front plus left-rear, then compares that percentage with the selected target.
Example
With 780 lb LF, 720 lb RF, 820 lb LR, and 780 lb RR, total weight is 3,100 lb. The car is 48.39% front and 51.61% rear; left/right distribution is 51.61%/48.39%. RF plus LR is 1,540 lb, or 49.68% cross, which is 0.32 percentage point below a 50% target.
